Brandy Miller lives in Tennessee with her husband Matt, a pastor, and their four children. Brandy’s greatest joy is being a wife and mother. She is also passionate about her calling to disciple women through the various stages of adolescence, dating, motherhood, career discernment, identity and image. She recognizes the need to include a Biblical understanding of physical beauty and body image in an image-driven culture. She desires women to live out the gospel in both body and spirit so that they can be vessels of redemptive beauty in the world.
Brandy began modeling at 14 and has continued for much of her adult life. The experiences from this career led her to consider the idea of self-image and identity. In addition, she enjoys studying theology and science, and taught middle and high school science before attending seminary with her husband. In seminary she studied the relationship between science and theology. Upon completion of seminary she re-entered the fashion world. Although these experiences seem unrelated, the beauty of the physical world and its inner workings are where she sees God at work reflecting His beauty. Beauty demonstrated by the brilliance of the night sky or the shape and design of our own bodies reflects something much greater than ourselves. Her hope is that Redeeming Beauty will provide a lens for women of all ages to embrace, renew and enjoy true beauty in a broken world and to walk in confidence to serve those around them.
